Lucid Ocean will no longer be supporting the Isle of Wight Search engine. (updated:25th May 2007)

Over the last few years, the IOWSearch has catered for thousands of visitors and has become one the islands entry point websites. These visitors have searched your websites and discovered a B&B for the week-end, found a chalet, planned their fun day out, and discovered events to coincide with their trips. The IOWSearch gets a wide range of mainland and foreign visitors. Despite this, we as a company have not been able to devote the time and effort into growing it further and we have never spent much time trying to gain advertisers.

Some statistics
This month alone we have received visitors from New Zealand to Canada, Israel to Brazil. With thousands of hits every month and hundreds of visitors from the mainland UK.

Each person does an average of 3.55 searches a day with the top 3 keywords being

Camping, Jobs and Estate Agents. We have reset our count when one hundred thousand searches have been reached. There has been 3 resets since we first launched, giving a grand total of 342 000 plus searches by people trying to find things on the Isle of Wight. For three months leading up and around Cowes Week our figures triple.
